When an official body asks you for a translation, what counts is whether they accept it. The acceptance guarantee is our promise on that point, so you can submit your document without second-guessing the translation.

Does the acceptance guarantee mean my translation will definitely be accepted?
Our sworn translations are accepted by the Dutch authorities that request them: the IND, municipalities (gemeenten), courts and universities. If a requesting body rejects the translation on quality grounds, we correct it free of charge until it is accepted.

What do I do if the authority questions my translation?
Send us the comments you received from the requesting body. A sworn translator reviews the concern, makes any correction needed, and reissues the signed and stamped translation at no charge. We continue until the authority accepts the document. The guarantee covers the quality of the translation, so the correction itself costs you nothing.
This covers the quality and accuracy of the translation itself. It does not cover a different document than the one you supplied, a change of requirements after delivery, or a refusal that has nothing to do with the translation, such as a missing apostille or an incomplete application. If an apostille or legalisation turns out to be needed, we can arrange that as a separate step. An apostille is €99 per document (optional, all-in: court fee and court application included).

1. What the acceptance guarantee means
Every sworn translation we deliver is produced by a translator listed in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv), which Bureau Wbtv maintains. That registration is what gives the translation its legal standing, and it is the first thing a requesting authority checks. Because we only assign Rbtv-registered translators for the relevant language pair, the translation already meets the requirement before it reaches you.
The guarantee puts that in writing. The Dutch authorities that ask for these translations accept ours, and if one of them refuses a translation on quality grounds, we put it right at no cost to you. You do not pay a second time, and you do not have to start over with another provider.
2. Which bodies accept our translations
The same standard applies across the Dutch authorities you are most likely to deal with, even though each one asks for different documents. A sworn translation by an Rbtv-registered translator is the version they recognise.
- The Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), for residence permits, MVV applications and naturalisation, where foreign-language documents must be translated by a sworn translator into Dutch, English, French or German.
- Municipalities (gemeenten) and Burgerzaken, for registering a foreign birth or marriage certificate.
- Dutch courts (De Rechtspraak) and civil-law notaries, which apply the sworn-translation standard to the documents they handle.
- Universities and DUO, when a foreign diploma or transcript is assessed.

A sworn translator reviews the point, corrects the translation where needed, and reissues the signed and stamped document. We continue until the requesting body accepts it, and the correction costs you nothing.

Prices start from €39 for the first page for Dutch ↔ English and Dutch ↔ French, and from €59 for the first page for other languages, with €75 per following page. A digital copy (PDF by email) is an optional add-on for €9.95. Registered shipping within the Netherlands is €9.95, free from €299 (subtotal, Netherlands only). Standard delivery is 5-7 working days.
