The price of your sworn translation covers the translation itself by an Rbtv-registered translator, the official sworn statement with stamp and signature, and our 100% acceptance guarantee. Additional costs and optional services
Two items can be added on top of the card rate. The first is VAT on the translation service. The second is an apostille, which you can order through us as an optional service if your file needs one.
Does VAT apply to a sworn translation?
A sworn translation service in the Netherlands carries the general VAT rate of 21%. The VAT is listed separately on the invoice, so you can see the amount.
Private customers pay the VAT amount on top of the card rate. For VAT-registered business customers the VAT is usually deductible as input tax, as far as the service is used for business. Check with your accountant or the Belastingdienst for your own situation.

What does an apostille cost at BeedigdeVertalingOnline?
An apostille is €99 per document. The price is all-in: the court fee, the application at the Dutch court and the handling are all part of it.
You do not have to go to the court yourself. You tick apostille during the order and we arrange the whole process. Many international files (the IND, foreign universities and authorities) need an apostille. We guide you through the right order, which you can read about on our apostille and legalisation page.

In practice: Most documents for the IND, a Dutch court or a municipality do not need an apostille, because our sworn translation is enough on its own. Foreign authorities such as embassies, foreign courts or universities usually do need one. Read more about apostille and legalisation.

Business clients with regular orders can pay on invoice on request, with a payment term of 14 or 30 days.
How long does a sworn translation take?
Our standard delivery time is 5 to 7 working days, for every document type and language pair. If you need it sooner, you can choose express (2-3 working days) in the order, or same-day delivery for Dutch ↔ English or French. A surcharge applies to those faster options.

The base price covers four things: the translation itself, the sworn statement, the official stamp and our acceptance guarantee. Together these make the document valid for official use in the Netherlands. Delivery and a digital copy are not part of the base price; you add them separately if you need them.
How much does delivery cost?
Registered shipping within the Netherlands is €9.95, and free from €299 (subtotal, Netherlands only). A digital copy by email is a separate option at €9.95. The standard delivery timeframe of 5-7 working days carries no surcharge and is included in the price of the translation.
How much extra is an apostille?
An apostille is €99 per document and is optional. The price is all-in: it includes the court fee and the court application. You can add it during your order, and we arrange it together with the sworn translation, so you do not have to apply for it yourself.
Can I get a sworn translation faster, and what does that cost?
Standard delivery is 5-7 working days. If you need it sooner, express delivery takes 2-3 working days (+50%, minimum €55), and same-day delivery is available for Dutch ↔ English or French when ordered before 12:00 (+100%, minimum €75). Both are options you select in the order form.
