Is your document not among our standard products? Many Dutch documents qualify for an apostille, such as a certified notarial copy of your passport, a purchase deed, an adoption order or an extract from the custody register. You describe your document when ordering; after intake we assess whether it can be apostilled directly. If a different court fee applies or pre-legalisation is needed, you receive a quote first.
How does it work?
From order to an apostilled document: we take every step off your hands.
You place your order, describe your document and choose the destination country.
We assess your description and let you know whether the document can be apostilled directly; you then send it to our intake address.
We present the document to the court on your behalf and have the apostille added.
You receive the apostilled document back by registered post, and digitally as well if you want that.
How your document reaches us
You send the original document to our intake address, or have the issuing authority deliver it there directly. Once it reaches us, we present it to the court on your behalf.
Frequently asked questions
Which documents can you apostille?
For example a certified notarial copy of your passport or identity document, a purchase deed, an adoption order, an extract from the custody register or a certificate of residence from the Dutch Tax Administration.
Do special rules apply to some documents?
Yes. An adoption order can only be apostilled at the court that issued it. A certificate of residence from the Tax Administration first needs pre-legalisation by the Ministry of Finance; documents from UWV, SVB or the Kadaster go through the CDC first. We flag this after our assessment.
What does an extract from the custody register cost?
That extract can be requested free of charge at any court. Our apostille service costs €149 excl. VAT per document on top of that.
When do I receive a quote first?
For documents with a different court fee or a mandatory pre-legalisation. The non-bankruptcy certificate, for example, carries a €165 court fee; we quote such requests first, before presenting the document.
Are there documents that do not qualify?
Yes. An extract from the guardianship and administration register is unsigned and therefore cannot be apostilled. Digital PDFs without an original signature do not qualify either.
