To have your registered partnership recognised, for family reunification or a procedure abroad, a partnership certificate with an apostille is often needed. You request a copy or an international (multilingual) extract from the municipality where the partnership was registered and send it to us; we arrange the apostille at the court and return the document.
How does it work?
From order to an apostilled document: we take every step off your hands.
You place your order and choose the destination country.
You send a recent copy or international extract of the partnership certificate to our intake address, or have the issuing authority deliver it there directly.
We present the document to the court on your behalf and have the apostille added.
You receive the apostilled document back by registered post, and digitally as well if you want that.
How your document reaches us
You send the original document to our intake address, or have the issuing authority deliver it there directly. Once it reaches us, we present it to the court on your behalf.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I request the certificate?
From the municipality where the partnership was registered. A copy or international extract costs around €17.80 there.
Do I choose the full copy or the international extract?
The court can apostille both. The international extract is multilingual and often makes a translation unnecessary, but some foreign authorities require the full copy. Check with the receiving authority.
Can I send a digital version?
No. The apostille can only go on the paper document with the municipality's original signature. A self-printed PDF will be refused.
How recent does the document need to be?
The foreign recipient decides how recent the copy must be. Request the copy or extract shortly before you need it.
